Scheduled 2027Gaming Industry
Gaming is the first idea on this board to become a project of its own, and the only one with anything in a player's hands today. The ambition is a gaming landscape for Zambia — small games made here, for the devices people actually carry, free to start and honest about what they are.

What we want gaming to become
The end state is not a game — it is the thing that makes the next game worth making here. Five commitments, in the order they matter.
-
01
A library, not a feed
A player opens the platform and finds the next game worth their evening. Not an infinite scroll dressed up as discovery, and not a daily reward that punishes anyone with a job.
-
02
Made for the phone in the pocket
Low-end Android first, offline play second, data cost as a hard design constraint rather than a problem discovered after launch. If a title needs a fast connection to be enjoyable, it is not finished.
-
03
Zambian content inside the games
Local language, local reference, local faces and local history in the games themselves — not as a themed marketing layer bolted onto something imported.
-
04
An open door for local developers
The platform takes a cut only once it can pay a Zambian developer properly. Publishing has to beat building a fanbase by hand, or nobody sensible will use it.
-
05
Free to start, honest about the rest
Nobody pays to open the door. Where something is free, where something is sponsored, and what a score actually means are all stated plainly rather than buried.
How the project gets built
No platform gets built in one leap. Four phases, each one earning the right to the next — and each one killable.
-
Phase 01now
Prototypes
Ten small web games, free in the browser, each testing one idea: recall, vocabulary, speed, general knowledge, performance. No accounts, no installs, no roadmap. They exist to find out which of them is actually fun.
-
Phase 022026 → 27
The platform
What survives Phase 01 graduates onto a shared platform — one account, saved progress, honest leaderboards, and a home screen that puts a Zambian player in front of the next game worth playing rather than an infinite scroll.
-
Phase 032027
The landscape
The project lands: a growing library of titles, local content in the games themselves, and an open door for local developers to publish into it — with the platform taking a cut only once it can pay them properly.
-
Phase 04ongoing
Beyond the browser
Prototypes run in a browser because that is the cheapest place to be wrong. Later phases move toward low-end Android, offline play and data costs that do not punish a player for living where the network is thin.
What exists today
Phase 01 is not a plan — it is nineteen finished games that are live and playable right now. No account, no download, no cost.
Every prototype is a single idea being tested on real players — and the reason Phase 02 already knows what to be built around. Full details of each one, including what it does not do, are on the games page.
