ExploringInformation closer to home
Finding a clinic, understanding what a symptom might mean, and small fitness and mental-health experiments. None of it medical advice dressed up as a product.

On our roadmap
We have not started here yet. The 3 subcategories below are on our roadmap, and we will take them on in time.
Fitness
Simple body measures, explained plainly.
Lifestyle diseases are rising quickly across African cities, and simple prevention tools are scarce.
- Health checks
- Community fitness
- Healthy local eating
Wellbeing
A few minutes of calm, guided.
Mental health support is thin on the ground, and stigma keeps many people from asking for it.
- Guided calm
- Finding help
- Talking about it
Medication
Taking the right dose at the right time.
Missed doses undermine treatment for HIV, TB, diabetes and hypertension, all of which depend on daily routines.
- Dose reminders
- Pharmacy stock
- Clinic follow-up
What we'd build
Four ideas, in the order we would test them. None are built.
-
01
A clinic finder
Where to go, when it is actually open, what it handles, and the number to call. Small to build, and the version of this people ask for most.
-
02
Plain-language symptoms
What a symptom could mean, written to be understood the first time, with the "seek care now" cases marked unmistakably and never buried.
-
03
Feedback that reaches someone
A way for a patient to report how a visit actually went, routed somewhere a human reads it — not a rating that disappears.
-
04
Mental health and fitness
Small, self-guided tools with real referral information attached, and no claim that an app is a substitute for a person.
Where it stands
Exploring
Desk research and early conversations with clinics. Nothing is built, and health is the category where we are most careful about pretending progress we have not made.
If we ever ship anything here, it will be scoped to information and navigation — the part software is genuinely good at — and never to diagnosis or treatment. That line is not negotiable under deadline pressure either.
