How it plays
Three lives and a timer that scales with the length of the answer, then tightens round by round. No choices to pick from: you type the full form, or pass.
Forgiving where it should be
Case, accents, punctuation, spacing, “&” for “and” and small words like “of” and “the” are ignored, and about one typo per eight letters is accepted and flagged. Latin and French full forms also accept the English meaning.
Content
262 acronyms in seven groups: tech and internet, science, health and medicine, business and money, organisations, travel and transport, and everyday and texting. Browse them all with search and category filters.
What it tests
Recall rather than recognition. Picking NASA’s full form out of four is easy; producing “National Aeronautics and Space Administration” from four letters is not.
